The "Damned If You Do Or Don't" Dilemma of the Napoleon Complex

Here's a succinct comment I found on YouTube about the "Napoleon Complex" Catch-22:
"If a short man attempts to be assertive or stand up for himself, people think he's got a Napoleon Complex and is just overcompensating for his height. If he does not attempt to be assertive and stand up for himself, he's an insecure, George Costanza wimp. What's even "funnier" is that when a short man brings this up, explains the "Damned if you do" dilemma, people will frequently respond by portraying him with the same stereotypes he just finished explaining. "People aren't treating you differently because of your height.", they say, "It's just because you are being too aggressive/not confident enough.". This, to me, is absurd."
