People always expect short men to take every joke without question (even most short men themselves encourage this), but the few times others are mocked, people come out of the woodwork to voice their displeasure. Also keep in mind how comedy involving short men often represents inferiority (like here or here). Considering how much more frequent and acceptable it is to mock short guys (often more harshly), I wonder how tall people and women would react if they were short men.
