Male Suicide Rates In Canada

  • "In British Columbia, suicide is one of the top three causes of mortality among men aged 15 and 44.[2] Among men of all ages in Canada, suicide ranked as the seventh leading cause of death in 2007.[3]"
  • "Men have a shockingly high rate of death by suicide compared with women. Across all countries reporting these data (except China and India) males show a suicide rate that is 3.0 to 7.5 times that of women.[10] In Canada, the male suicide rate is about three times that of women.[11]"
  • "while accumulating empirical evidence confirms that men in Western nations consistently die by suicide at higher rates than women[6,7] (with the pattern reversed for nonfatal suicidal behaviors), surprisingly few explanatory frameworks have been developed to account for this persistent pattern."

Must be that male privilege killing off all these dudes. /s

Seriously though, is it any wonder? Whenever men try to speak about any male issue, it's shut down very quickly. Even other guys show up to try and prove how tough they are for never making a peep. Insert accusations of being sensitive, whiny, etc. Then women chime in with snarky lines like "but what about the men?!?!" or "There men go again, always making it about themselves."

The only support a man can ever get is when he pays money to hang out with a therapist in some corner of the world, where his problems won't disrupt this society. Men have always been disposable. People love talking about how women couldn't vote, but they always leave out how men had to die in war for the right to vote.
